Fitment Note: Fits both the N55 gasoline turbo engine (535i/535xi) and the N57 diesel turbo engine (535d/535dX). The 535d was not sold in the US until model year 2014.

Direct bolt-on replacement for the factory intercooler with no cutting, drilling, or fabrication required. Kit includes the intercooler core, silicone couplers, clamps, and all mounting hardware. The competition bar-and-plate core delivers twice the cooling performance of the factory unit at a lower pressure drop, which means cooler, denser air entering the engine at the same boost level. The factory N55 intercooler is known to heat soak under sustained load, which reduces power and can increase the risk of knock. Black powder coat finish. No tune is required after installation at stock boost levels, though a tune is recommended to take full advantage of the reduced charge temperatures.
